  Overly Sensitive, Overly Emotional, Defensive, Overreacts, Can't Calm Down, Can't Relax, Freaks Out! Acts Crazy! No Sense of Humor, and Overly Dramatic are normal reactions of many women who live in the constant hell of being involved with some of the self centered ass holes I've known and seen who call themselves men. Abuse a thing of beauty long enough and that is what you get. There are of course exceptions to this rule but at some point all this behavior can be traced back to some form of physical or emotional abuse...

  Fact is that many people are attracted to high control religions because they are uncomfortable with their particular view of reality and need someone "more knowledgeable" (sic) and experienced in these matters to guide them through their turmoil. Others are comfortable with their own powers of discernment and their own ability to make decisions for themselves they can trust. Some people are just more progressed in their understanding of the personal freedom that we all really have. Some people just naturally grow up faster than others.

  im assuming we all realise the gb may be many things but the individuals are not fools.

  given the changes in ideas, formulation of new light and so on, do they buy the fascade they are presenting ?

  if theres anyone in there, surely they as men, know how very man made it has always been.

  Did the Global Flood of the Bible really happen? Please give evidence

  Just the consistancy of flood legends throughout most of the worlds cultures would seem to indicate that there was some type of catastophe that was evident throughout most of the world. This could very well been consistant with the sudden melting of glacial formations at the end of the last ice age. Many large groups of animal bones found in large piles in caves and canyons also seem to indicate that a sudden catastophic event like flooding caught them off guard. The idea of floodwaters covering the entire planet as well as the story of Noah and the ark and the sumarian story of the epic of Gilgamesh are of course myths, metaphors and exaggerations of such a catastrophe. Ancient peoples most likely assumed that the entire planet was flooded if their particular homeland were completely submerged.

  How many Muslim countries actually follow tha taqqiya? What about the converted christian who's been sentenced to death for apostacy in Iran? It seems to me that the main issue with Islam is the control exercised over Muslim governments by the fundamental and radical clerics.

  i can remember this growing up in the 1970s.

  my folks joined the wt back in 1968 under threat of armageddon coming in 1975. i was in first grade and ran the gauntlet of no flag salute, national anthem, holidays and no worldly friends.

  I can't tell you how many times I heard the phrase "Bad associations spoil usfull habits" when I was a kid. Of course they were referring to usefull habits like going out in service and spending hours of quality time at the KH.

  Is there really an anointed class?

  i am of the anointed but care not for the title as i believe that those having put on a christ-like personality can also be born again .i encourage those jws not to be swayed by peer pressure and heed gods calling.

  the year book will very soon not mention the growth of the anointed since the generation change.. things jws have to consider>.

  1* when the scriptures refer to " i have other sheep not of this foal" it may mean gentiles as well as jews of which the new covering of circumcision applied .. 2* the term little flock is similar to the term little book a phrase of commonality used in greek translations .. rutherford acting as veto, to the majority fds as in singular and not plural invented the two class system ,( read his book doors close in 1936 ) which i no doubt will be yet another of wts do not re-print list .. rutherford had an irion handed approach and was not liked among his very own peers i believe god used him only for his legal expertise ( espionage act 1918 vs. usa constitution ) but thats about it.

  In most of the other christian sects the annointed are referred to as the elect. Unlike JW's the elect don't have a separate reward. Their purpose is to serve as a mouthpiece for God and to represent Him while rebuking the antichrist when he arrives. They are not to speak their own words but the words of God which will be directly channeled through them.

  News Item!! The Biblical NT story has been PROVEN to be a hoax!!

  ok i lied; there's no such news item.

  however, imagine for a minute that it was indeed fact and that the evidence was irrefutable that the new testiment account in the bible was proven to be a hoax started by the early constantine government and perpetuated by the church over the centuries.

  now, if you are of the atheist persuation it seems plausable that your reaction would be something similar to "i told you so" and that life would go on pretty much as usual.

  Most of the repliers seem to already be on the skeptical side and if such a newsworthy item did appear in the media would probably not be affected to any great extent. What has always seemed strange to me is that when such a scenario is presented to most any Christian they seem to find it almost impossible to defend their faith without the biblical crutch. While I am a believer in an intelligent Creator and the majority of religious exposure I've had has been Christian I find it amazing that people who claim to have an unbreakable faith base their entire belief system on a book alone. They seem to feel that if the bible is wrong that all hope is lost and there is nowhere else to turn. The Bible has actually become a reveared idol and an object of worship in Christian culture. If you present the same question to a Seik or Hindu for example they will tell you that while the Vedic texts are of great importance to them, their faith is completely independent of any book or scripture. Personally I find that the fascinating discoveries currently being made in quantum physics, biology and cosmology provide me with more evidence and faith in a Creator than the Bible could ever have.
